A Woman's Worth

It is no easy feat being a rich and wild woman in this modern world

How do we know what we deserve when we’ve witnessed our mother’s and other women around us treated badly?

How do we know what we deserve when we're unfairly burdened with responsibility that is often invisible and goes unappreciated?

How can we possibly know what we truly deserve when we’re expected to bow when we receive simple human decency?

This is where you can birth the creation of something new and be a part of a paradigm shift that is already happening

Where women are beginning to awaken and lean forward in unmatched ways into the world

Not by stripping ourselves of our womanhood as we have before, exaggerating our masculine qualities to be accepted into the man’s world

But rather in our raw, intuitive and cyclical expression 

.

We’ve been oppressed

Raped

Shamed

Pillaged

Silenced

Tortured

Exploited

Domesticated

The suffering

The injustice

We carry this in our bones

From the women before us, our ancestors

It bleeds in our lineage

And yet we’re still here and as fierce as ever to claim what has always been ours

It is our right and goddamn responsibility to tend to our hearts that have been broken a million times

To heal our sisterhood and mother wounds

To lick them until they become wisdom

To turn our pain into pleasure

To channel our glorious mess and mystery into the medicine that we all need

We are warriors of the heart

Our fire rages

Your pain

Your story

Your voice

Your heart

Your anger

Your trauma

Your sexuality

Your sensuality

Your expression

Your sovereignty

This is your power

.

I’m proud to be a woman today

I wouldn’t trade anything for this heart, womb and body of mine

It truly is my temple

It is my compass 

It is my guide

It has protected me, kept me safe, been the vehicle through which I move through this life

It is always calling me into deeper intimacy with myself and life at large

.

To my sisters out there

Only you can determine what’s considered worthy in your life

But sometimes

Perhaps even more often than you think

You need reminding of that self-determined worth

Let's offer this to each other

Let's not suffer alone with the same struggles

Let's melt the layers of competition

Let's weep together for where we've been deeply hurt at the hands of one another

Let's remind each other of our inherent deserving, worth and unparalleled beauty

.

Happy International Women’s Day darlings

May we unite and rise together

May we bound with our brothers who are on their own journey of awakening

We each have our piece to own and may this be an offering to the greater collective of healing
